2019 has got off to an incredibly fast start, and here we are again preparing for another special occasion, Mother’s Day. With just over 2 weeks to go, it’s essential that you as a salon put as much effort into last minute promotional ideas to boost salon revenue – this is a fantastic opportunity that is not to be missed.

Your promotional incentive does not have to be massive, it could be something simple like adding a complimentary product, and add on service or something completely different like a gift box of flowers – all to make the occasion a little more special.

Here, we take a look at our top promotional ideas for Mother’s Day, which are easy and effective.

 

Team up with a local florist

Mums love nothing more than being pampered and also love surprises. So for those who receive a voucher for Mothers Day (please make sure vouchers have a Mothers Day code to differentiate from normal vouchers) and visit the salon, why not provide complimentary flowers when they arrive for their appointment? Something simple yet very effective that can really make someone’s day. Ensure the cost of the voucher is equivalent to covering the costs of both services.

Create a bespoke package

Why not provide a mother’s day package deal, combining 2-3 treatments? This can be a great way to promote a new stylist or service that you have available in the salon or spa. It is also a great way to market a service that may not be as popular as others! Market this as a one off bespoke package to entice clients.

Celebrate the day before

Mother’s day happens on a Sunday every day, so why not celebrate this occasion the day before in the salon. Decorate with balloons, flowers and accessories and provide some fizz and canapés for those who visit the day before. Not only is it a great way to raise awareness but it is also a nice treat for clients!

For those who receive a voucher and redeem this, why not provide them with a goody bag at the end of their appointment? A complimentary product and voucher to redeem on future services is a great way to entice the client back whether they are a new or existing client.
